User & Role Management (Advanced Users Only)

Note: This section is intended only for advanced users or administrators. We strongly advise general  users not to make changes here, as incorrect permissions may disrupt platform functionality.

Accessing User Management

From the left-hand menu, click on User Management. You’ll find two options:

  • Users
  • Roles

What Are Roles?

Roles define the level of access each user has. Instead of setting permissions user by user, you can create a role and assign it to multiple users.

  • Go to User Management > Roles
  • You will see a list of existing roles. By default, two roles are provided:
    • Admin
    • Collaborator

Do not delete the Collaborator role. This role is essential for:

  • Sales-based or commission-based users
  • Freelance photographers
  • Shared access for schools and team members

Creating or Editing Roles

  1. Click the blue Add button (top-right)
  2. Enter a Role Name
  3. Select the permissions the role should have
Permissions are grouped by modules and divided into:
    • View
    • Add
    • Edit
    • Delete

You can control access to:

  • Event albums
  • Business settings
  • Withdrawals
  • Sales data
  • Homepage content
    …and more.

You may also edit the Collaborator role directly to adjust shared access functionality.

Managing Users

In the Users section, you can:

  • Add new users manually
  • Assign roles
  • Share login credentials with users (no need for them to sign up)

To add a user manually:

  1. Go to User Management > Users
  2. Click Add User
  3. Enter user details (email, password, etc.)
  4. Assign a role

This manual method is useful when:

  • You’re inviting a staff member, freelancer, or sales-based team member
  • You want to bypass the email invitation process

Once created, the user can be assigned to events or tasks such as:

  • Freelance event coverage
  • Team access based on commission or sales.

Notes:

  • This section is powerful but should be handled carefully.
  • Only users with a clear understanding of permission roles should make changes.
  • If unsure, contact your admin or the Snapshot Hub support team before modifying roles.
