This guide walks you through how to add internal photographers as team members with either sales-based or commission-based roles. This allows them to collaborate effectively and contribute to your event photography operations.
Step 1: Open the Event You Want to Assign
- Go to your Galleries.
- Select the event you want to manage.
- Click on Manage Event.
Step 2: Navigate to “Team Member Photographers”
- Once inside the event dashboard, find the left-hand menu.
- Click on Team Member Photographers.
- In the top right, click the Invite Collaborator button.
- Enter the photographer’s email address and send the invite.
Step 3: Photographer Accepts the Invite
- The invited team member will receive an email with instructions.
- They will need to create a basic account on your platform.
- Once accepted, they will appear in your dropdown list of available collaborators.
Step 4: Assign Them to the Event & Define Their Role
After they’ve accepted the invite:
- Go back to Team Member Photographers in your event dashboard.
- In the Photographer dropdown, click Select Existing User.
- Select the newly added photographer.
- Now choose their role type:
Sales-Based Team Member
- They earn from the photos they sell.
- Example: Kevin uploads 100 photos, sells 50 with multiple copies—he earns a commission only on what he sells.
- You (as the event manager) set your commission percentage on those sales.
Commission-Based Team Member
- Used when the team member is a partner on the event.
- Example: Mark is a 40% partner, and you’re 60%. You set fixed commission shares for both.
- These collaborators will have full transparency over event sales and earnings.
Step 5: Set Permissions
Customise what each team member is allowed to do:
- Upload Photos
- Delete Photos
- Manage Protected Images
- Manage Albums
- Apply Overlays
- Promote Event
- Manage Discounts
You can use checkboxes to assign specific permissions as needed. This ensures you maintain full control over event access and responsibilities.
